The UCSD bomb blast simulator came online a couple of weeks ago. There are some pretty cool videos on this site.

Disability

Today I received a check for nearly $500 which is my disability pay from the two and a half weeks following my surgery. Apparently, according to Colorado law I am owed disability despite the fact that my job no longer exists and I am not seeking other employment, because hypothetically I would be unable to perform the duties of my original job (ie skiing) if it still existed. I'm not complaining. My disability is 2/3 of my old pay ($9/hour 32 hours/week). I'm not entirely sure, but I think I will continue to receive disability for the next few weeks for sitting on my ass at home.

Snowball Fight

Last night I had my first proper snowball fight of the season. Since the snow is so cold and dry in Colorado it was basically impossible to make snowballs stick together until about April when it started to warm up. I tried many times at work to make snowballs to throw at my coworkers. It generally took about 5 minutes to get a single snowball compacted enough to stick together, but even then it wasn't great. Last night it snowed a couple of inches of wet snow in the afternoon. As I was leaving a bar with my buddies at 2am a big snowball fight errupted. It was great.
